DutchBSD provides engineering consultancy in BSD-based systems, infrastructure, content delivery networks and practical AI. This work is separate from our software products: you can work with DutchBSD on an engineering problem without adopting a DutchBSD application.

Content delivery
Choosing, configuring and operating content delivery networks, and understanding the trade-offs between them. Our founder co-founded Warpcache, a multi-CDN company, and his work spans infrastructure and content delivery.

BSD-based systems and infrastructure
Building and operating sites, services and infrastructure on OpenBSD and FreeBSD. BSD is our preference rather than a requirement; we work with other systems where they suit the problem.
Practical AI
Applying AI where it earns its place, with the same preference for solutions that stay understandable once they are in use.
How we work
We aim to keep systems understandable and maintainable. We favour tools with a clear purpose, dependencies that justify their place and solutions that fit the problem.
Simplicity does not mean avoiding difficult problems. It means being deliberate about which complexity is necessary and which can be removed. The requirements differ from project to project, but the intention is the same: systems that remain manageable beyond their initial setup.
